As you may suspect based on the band name, the English band The Slow Show excels at slow-paced and midtempo pop and folk songs. Their songs drag you into their world almost immediately, partly due to the dark, somewhat hoarse voice of front man Rob Goodwin.
Debut album “White Whater” from 2015 was a pretty straightforward affair, but successor “Dream Darling” from 2016 featured gorgeous classic arrangements. Third album “Lust and Learn” just came out and is in line with its predecessors. This concert is recommended to fans of The National, Elbow, The Boxer Rebellion and Tindersticks.
