The Sword
The American heavy rock and metal band The Sword debuted in 2006 with the magnificent “Age of Winters”. It is an album that came out at exactly the right time and managed to age quite well. This is full-blooded hard rock and stoner, drenched in thick layers of heavy doom metal.
The band has released seven albums since then, with “Used Future” from 2018 being the latest. This album is a very pleasant listen with gorgeous groovy riffs and catchy melodies, yet still very much The Sword. After a hiatus in 2022, the band returned to the stage at the Levitation Festival in Austin in 2024. And in 2025, the band is finally back on the road. Twelve years after their last performance in Nijmegen, The Sword is finally back for an exclusive Dutch show in Doornroosje.
