The Temptations & The Four Tops

Two of the world’s most iconic soul and funk acts, The Temptations and The Four Tops, are coming to Nijmegen for a show that carries the magic of the golden era of music. Their songs created for a revolution in music in the sixties that transcended social and cultural barriers. Decades later, they are still a massive source of inspiration for numerous musicians. Still performing with the original members Duke Fakir and Otis Williams, these Motown veterans will bring a show full of timeless hits in the large hall of De Vereeniging.

The Four Tops broke through in 1964 with the hit ‘Baby I need Your Loving’. This was followed by tons of hits, including ‘It’s the Same Old Song’, ‘Standing in the Shadow of Love’, ‘Loco in Acapulco’ and ‘(Reach Out) I’ll Be There’. The Temptations scored hits like ‘Papa Was a Rolling Stone’, ‘Treat Her Like a Lady’, ‘Since I Lost My Baby’ and ‘Just My Imagination (Running Away With Me)’. After a career spanning more than five decades, the contribution of both groups to the music landscape can only be described as monumental.
