Thee Sacred Souls are coming to Doornroosje on 3 November for a live performance in the Purple hall.
The trio Thee Sacred Souls consists of drummer Alex Garcia, bassist Sal Samano and singer Josh Lane. They have been a band since 2019 and managed to sign a record contract within a year with the iconic funk and soul label Daptone Records, once the home of Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and Charles Bradley, but also of Lee Fields, Antibalas, Menahan Street Band and The James Hunter Six.
Thee Sacred Souls are all about offering a beautiful and vintage retro sound. The San Diego trio decided to record their music to analogue tapes rather than to digital ones. The Americans find inspiration in the r&b and soul of the sixties and seventies, as well as in the rhythmic sounds of bands like Durand Jones & The Indications and Menahan Street Band. Thee Sacred Souls is highly recommended to anyone with a passion for soul music.
