Tom Morello

Tom Morello has been a major influence on the musical direction of Rage Against the Machine. His recognizable, lightning-paced guitar playing and effects were essential for the revolutionary rap-punk-metal sound of the band. Morello was also a member of bands like Audioslave (with the late Chris Cornell) and has been playing with bands like Prophets of Rage and Street Swiper Social Club, too.

Morello is more than just music: he is also a driven political activist, whose voice speaks louder than his guitar. His involvement in battling injustice in his home country of the United States, but also anywhere else on the planet, is just as impressive as his achievements in music. As Morello himself states: “I’m dedicated to both music and activism. Now, in the middle of a sense of impending doom, it is time to come together and save our planet and creative souls.
