The American band Trousdale is named after the footpath at the University of Southern California where they met one another. Trousdale consists of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene and Lauren Jones: three strong women that channel themes like loneliness, loss and broken hearts into music that touches the soul.
What started off as playing covers on YouTube, quickly turned into writing and presenting their own material, with single ‘Wouldn’t Come Back’ as one of the highlights. Their debut album “Out of My Mind” came out shortly thereafter. On their latest album “Growing Pains”, the trio translates the hurt of change and growth to powerful, up-beat music. The album was produced by the same producer as Taylor Swift’s. It features songs taking its cues from pop, folk and even some country every now and then. Even if you’re not a Swiftie though, there’s still much to love when Trousdale enters the stage. Recommended to fans of Maisie Peters, The Staves, Holly Humberstone and MUNA.
