Unprocessed, from the German town of Wiesbaden, have managed to work their way up as a leading name in modern progressive metal. The band, led by guitarist Manuel Gardner Fernandes, combines djent with metalcore, which allows them to innovate and experiment as well.
From debut “In Concretion” (2014) to “…And Everything in Between” (2023), Unprocessed has excelled on each in technical precision and genre-crossing compositions. Their most recent album “Angel” from 2025 is a new highlight: melodious, powerful, technically impressive and rich in memorable hooks. This album put the band once and for all at the top of the genre. And they can do more than just write great songs: they also made waves through collaborations with for example Tim Henson of Polyphia, Jason Aalon Butler of Fever 333, and Paleface Swiss. Above all, it shows that the band has the courage to venture off the beaten track.
The band has a terrific live reputation, too. Unprocessed is the perfect band for fans of Tesseract, Periphery, VOLA, but also Northlane, Spiritbox and Imminence.
