Venice is coming back to Nijmegen for a show in the gorgeous Stevenskerk. In a Christmas setting, the band will play an acoustic set.

Venice guitarist and singer Michael Lennon said the following about this special concert: “Singing four-part harmonies on these beautiful locations, sometimes hundreds of years old, is a fantastic experience.” The intimate setting with four ‘Lennons’, two guitars and a piano is a perfect contrast with the full-band concerts and the theatre tour that the band undertook this spring. On top of that, the band have another surprise in mind for these shows. “It gives our Dutch friends some personal insight into our songs and the harmonies, which will get everyone – including us! – into the holiday Christmas spirit”, lead vocalist Kipp Lennon adds. Pat Lennon, guitarist and singer: “These concerts always give us a sense of connection. As if band and audience are part of a shared family Christmas celebration. For us Americans it is the most important holiday of the year, after all.”

The American group Venice has been praised worldwide for their perfect West-Coast harmonies. The band consists of two sets of brothers, Michael and Mark Lennon on the one hand, and Kipp and Pat Lennon on the other. All of them were born and raised in Venice Beach, California. They have been performing since the eighties and, inspired by Crosby, Stills & Nash and The Eagles, have developed a folk/rock/soul sound of their own featuring their phenomenal four-part harmonies. The set list will be over two hours and will include Christmas songs (both familiar and less familiar ones), as well as Venice classics and songs from their new album “Stained Glass”. As always, the band will do an extensive meet & greet at the end of the night.
