Australian-born Dylan Young is behind the Way Dynamic project. In 2025, he released the album “Massive Shoe”, which may hold one of the most beautiful songs of 2025, ‘Miffed It’.

On the eleven songs of the album, Young explores minimalist folk, pop, art rock and baroque pop, all inspired by his restless, playful creative mind. The music of Way Dynamic is a kind of danceable Andy Shauf meets Nick Drake, including incredible songs inspired by both Brian Wilson and Neil Young.

The album was released by Spoilsport Records from Melbourne, but it is only a matter of time before the band is going to be signed by an international label and the album gets an official reissue on vinyl.

Last year, Way Dynamic went out on tour with MJ Lenderman, Waxahatchee and Black Country, New Road. In 2026, the band is coming to Europe for the first time. They will perform a headline show in Nijmegen in Merleyn.
