Willie J. Healey
The young singer-songwriter and musician Willie J Healey has been praised by artists like Florence Welch and Arctic Monkeys. Both took Willie as their special guest during their respective 2023 world tours.
In 2023, Willie released his album “Bunny”. He was inspired by his love for soul, funk, and rhythm & blues. The Oxford-based musician declared right before “Bunny” came out that he only wanted to make up-beat music from now on.
Healey puts a lot of sunny vibes in his melodies, which are reminiscent of the seventies sounds of for example Sly and the Family Stone. In the songs ‘Thank You’ and ‘Dreams’ this works tremendously well, partly due to the help of his good friend Jamie T.
For the first time ever, he is going to tour Europe on his own. He will perform in Doornroosje as well.
