Zig Zags + Early Moods
On this Wednesday in June, Zig Zags and Early Moods will serve heavy doses of hard rock with fiery riffs.
Zig Zags release their albums through In The Red, Castle Face and Riding Easy. Their proto-punk/hard rock/heavy metal is inspired by the hard rock sound of not just Black Sabbath and Motörhead, but also early Metallica. You can hear this on their latest album “Strange Masters”, which was produced by John Dwyer of Osees fame. There are more bands that adopt a retro sound and add their own twist to it, but few do it as convincing as Zig Zags do.
On their latest album “A Sinner’s Past”, Early Moods offer a fiery, authentic doom metal sound. The songs are drenched in dynamic riffs and fitting guitar solos. Songs are fired upon you in an extremely efficient manner, and the vocals are to the point as well. It’s as if Black Sabbath and Pentagram had a love child. Highly recommended to fans of the genre!
