The last few years Amenra keeps blowing minds away with their intense live shows and albums. And they are still improving.
The Belgian band is overwhelming in all its facets. The melancholic music is inspired by the feeling and conviction of the band members themselves, with frontman Colin van Eeckhout first. The spiritual quest is intrusive and drives you past the darkness of the soul. Over the last decade, the Belgians released five albums, all of a dark beauty that does not know its display. Their new and majestic work, ‘Mass VI’, is just as refining, salient, hard, soft, comforting, intense and frightening as its predecessors.
Amenra is unique, an experience that you should have seen at least once in your lifetime, both acoustic and non-acoustic. In total, Amenra will feature two performances in Nijmegen in January. On Friday 19th January they will host the Stevenskerk for an acoustic show, on January 20th, Doornroosje will bet he place for a hard-wearing non-acoustic show. On both days the lineup will be complemented by guests.
