Anna von Hausswolff + Karl Vento

Swedish singer-songwriter Anna von Hauswolff is the daughter of renowned sound artist Carl von Hausswolff, so music was already all around her during her childhood. She has managed to make an impact since she released her debut album. With her expressive voice, combined with piano and organ, she manages to create a suspenseful, almost film-like sound. Her music is sometimes reminiscent of Nico, Diamanda Galas, Kate Bush or even Dead Can Dance. This promises to be a special and eccentric show.

Her third album “The Miraculous” was released late 2015. The Quietus wrote the following about it: “This album is a pretty astonishing piece of work. Hausswolff has pushed out into unmapped territory where post-rock, prog, doom metal, modern classical and high church music all co-exist in uneasy alliance. It’s the type of album you have to commit to completely, but for those seeking a glimpse of the numinous, it’s worth the effort.”
