Archie and the Bunkers

Archie and the Bunkers bestaat uit de 2 broertjes O’Connor, afkomstig uit Cleveland, Ohio. Gewapend met drums en een orgel, creëren de jonge gasten een wall of sound. Naast felle en energieke rocknummers, speelt het duo ook soms wat prima in het gehoor liggende rustigere nummers zoals ‘Laura’.

Het afgelopen jaar brachten ze een stortvloed aan singles uit op allerlei verschillende kwaliteitslabels zoals In the Red, Norton Records, Dirty Water Records en ook Jack White’s Third Man Records. Op In the Red-Label brachten ze een cover E.P uit met vier nummers van The Damned. “We here at In The Red HQ are of the firm belief that The Damned are one of the greatest rock n’roll bands of all time. It turns out Archie & the Bunkers share this feeling. Therefore we are happy that Archie & the Bunkers have agreed to cover some of their favorite Damned selections for us doing them in their own frantic, bare bones style.” Voor het eerst op bezoek in Europa en op 5 september ook in Merleyn te zien en horen.
