Death metal. Just good old, filthy death metal. Sometimes you’re just in the mood for that kind of music, of course played as loudly as possible. The Danes of BAEST should be right up your alley!
The first thing you’ll notice is the immediately recognizable sound of HM-2 distortion (which is the Heavy Metal 2 distortion pedal of BOSS). The Swedish death metal icons of Entombed are famous for using it and the same goes for the band Bloodbath. BAEST’s most recent album “Venenum”, released by Century Media in 2019, is full of mid-tempo gems, but it also features fast-paced drumming, blast beats and terrific grunts that fit their sound like a glove. It’s a tried-and-true formula, but there’s nothing wrong with that. On the contrary: this deserves our respect and a heavy mosh pit.
