Azniv Korkejian, better known as Bedouine, has Armenian parents, was born in Aleppo (Syria) and grew up in Saudi-Arabia and the USA. Her music is just as diverse as her roots are. Musically speaking she manages to set herself apart through her engaging guitar-playing and poetic lyrics. Tonight Bedouine will play a solo set in the rustic Lutherse Kerk.
Her debut album was released through Matthew E White’s Spacebomb label and is full of gorgeous songs that mix Americana, country and cosmic folk to a unique blend. The album was praised with four and five star reviews and Bedouine is regarded almost universally as an upcoming talent in the folk/singer-songwriter genre. Also highly recommended to fans of Nick Drake, Joni Mitchell, Townes van Zandt and 70’s Americana folk.
