British trio Cassia, from northern city Macclesfield, has been on the rise in recent years with their tropical indie pop. Musically speaking the band dabbles in the same kinds of sounds as Bombay Bicycle Club and Vampire Weekend. In their newest songs comparisons to The Strokes and Arctic Monkeys aren’t even that far-fetched. They have been selling out numerous shows throughout England and Europe.
Cassia has accumulated over three million Spotify streams so far, partly thanks to early support by BBC Radio 1 jocks Huw Stephens and Greg James. The band recently signed a contract with London indie label Distiller Records.
