Dana Gavanski
Recently, Dana Gavanski left a very good impression as support act to Damien Jurado with her beautiful, serene folk songs. This time she and her band will come for a headlining show to Merleyn.
In 2017 the Canadian singer-songwriter released her first mini-album “Spring Demos”. She wrote this batch of songs in Montreal where she had moved to because of her studies. Shortly after that, she moved to Toronto where she started playing with local musicians, and made plans to record and release her debut album. By working with a full band, Dana Gavanski discovered a new sound that still kept the intimate aspects of her original music. The album was produced by Mike Lindsay, whom you may remember from Tungg. Her album “Yesterday Is Gone” came out in 2020.
