Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox
Scott Bradlee founded Postmodern Jukebox in 2013 after his videos, in which he put modern music in a vintage context, went viral. Nowadays Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox has a channel with many millions of followers on YouTube, a number of albums have been released and there’s a live band now.
Tonight this live sensation will perform in Nijmegen. Together with a large number of talented musicians the greatest hits are getting a vintage make-over. From a vintage cover to Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ to ‘All About That Bass’ in a New Orleans blues style: expect the biggest hits in a completely different context, without ever losing their original essence.
Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox is almost literally a live jukebox, as in their own style they can switch from Guns n’ Roses’ ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’ reinterpreted as New Orleans blues to a doo-wop version of ‘We Can’t Stop’ (Miley Cyrus), Daft Punk’s ‘Get Lucky’ as an Irish folk song and a roaring twenties jazz cover of Macklemore’s ‘Thrifty Shop’. Leave it to Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox to give it a completely different context.
Note: it is possible to purchase VIP tickets for this show (including concert tickets); that also gives you the opportunity for a meet & greet with the members of Postmodern Jukebox, a personal photograph with the band members, a signed tour poster and an official VIP badge.
