The Howl & The Hum + Robin Kester
The Howl & The Hum are a band from York, a town roughly the size of Nijmegen. There has never been a ‘famous’ band from York, but chances are that these lads are going to take up that challenge. The youngsters have already played an impressive set at Lowlands, offering one of the most exciting shows at the festival.
Their formula? A frontman with a clear-cut indie hero potential and a repertoire of stadium-like appeal. Their charismatic frontman Sam Griffiths has everything to become a familiar face on magazine covers of the future. Their singles so far all seem to have been made for mainstream appeal. The pop and rock songs are heavy with emotion; sometimes intimate, at other times grandiose. Definitely a band to keep an eye out for!
