The Waterboys, fronted by Mike Scott, were very successful in the eighties with big hits like ‘The Whole of the Moon’ and ‘Fisherman’s Blues’. Rock & roll, punk, soul and Celtic music are important cornerstones of their sound. After these successes the band broke up in 1993, only to come back in 2000. They started releasing new albums and went back to touring.
The Scottish and Irish band manages to reinvent itself time and time again. Recently the brand new album “Where the Action Is” came out, which is yet another highly enjoyable and terrific album.
