With his dream-like, sometimes psychedelic guitar rock, the American musician Israel Nash takes you on a journey back to the seventies.
Neil Young is a name that will pop into your mind if you listen to Nash’s album “Topaz” from 2021, although Pink Floyd is never far away either. Secret weapon of Israel Nash is his pedal steel guitarist Eric Swanson, who carries the band sound to greater heights. Add to this the terrific brass section and soulful backing vocals, and you’ll understand why “Topaz” was yet another big success. “Ozarker” is the title of his latest album that’s coming out soon. On this album, Nash is able to surpass himself and develop his sound even further.
“Ozarker” has already received some great media feedback, including this one from Uncut:
ISRAEL NASH – Ozarker – 9/10
“Relocated New Yorker takes a trip into heartland rock. It’s an album that unfurls like a flag on a battlefield, glorious, tattered, defiant, full of big choruses, vaulting harmonies, a brazenly windswept sound”
