Jan Blomqvist is a German musician, producer and pioneer of so-called concert techno: a mix of live vocals, dreamy electro and melodic beats.
After starting off in rock bands, Jan Blomqvist discovered the electronic scene in Berlin, debuted in Club Tresor, and broke through internationally with his viral single ‘Big Jet Plane’. His style combines melancholy with euphoria. He either hits the stage with a band or solo, having played at festivals like Burning Man, Coachella and Tomorrowland in the past.
With albums like “Remote Control” (2016) and “Disconnected” (2018), he confirmed his place in the electronic world of music. In 2024, he founded his own label Disconnected, with which he expanded his artistic freedom even more. Blomqvist is beloved for his unique balance between club music and live performance, that doesn’t just invite people to dance, but also to feel. Recommended to fans of Rüfus du Sol, Bob Moses and Weval.
