Three years ago, Eloi Youssef announced that he preferred his solo career over his role as front man and vocalist of the popular band Kensington.
A few years later, Eloi reappeared with classical-inspired work that he performed with Kamerata Zuid. Eloi is now continuing his solo career and focusing on both old and new songs. He wishes to perform these this time around in the way they were originally written.
“Practically every song I ever wrote started off with a guitar, sitting on the couch at home. During this tour, I wish to honour those very first versions, both old and brand-new songs in the way I wrote them originally. So before adding arrangements, before the studio or the live stage. To enter the stage in this manner is very exciting; it is like I’m inviting everyone into my living room. It is because of its simplicity and intimacy that I’m really looking forward to it, though!”, says Eloi Youssef.
