Created somewhere between France and Tunisia, Myrath has slowly but surely turned into one of the most unique and innovative names in modern symphonic metal. Tight riffs alternate with cinematic orchestrations and mystical African, Eastern vibes.
Fans refer to their unique sound affectionately as blazing desert metal. Myrath stands for power and resilience. During the Tunisian revolution in 2011, they wrote the album “Tales of the Sands” in the evenings and nights, while they had to defend their homes during the day. That impressive experience is still present in their music. Myrath is more than just a band; it is proof that music born out of identity and struggle can cross boundaries and connect generations.
In 2022, they put themselves squarely on the world map with a show at the World Cup of Football in Qatar, with which they reached millions of viewers. Their most recent album, “Karma” (2024), was a fresh start for them: grand, energetic and ready for the big stage. And they believe the best is yet to come: 2026 is going to be a special year with their most ambitious project to date. We are really looking forward to their show in Nijmegen on Saturday 3 October.
Myrath is highly recommended to fans of bands like Amaranthe, Beyond the Black, Orphaned Land, Epica and Ad Infinitum.
