Ryan Davis & the Roadhouse Band
Ryan Davis has been making music since 2013. Last year, he and his band played in Merleyn and this fall, they are coming back for a show on our Purple Stage.
Their most recent album, “New Threats From the Soul” (2025), is drenched in an Americana Noir sound. Pitchfork hailed the album as “Best New Music”, giving it an 8.7 and calling it an “essential new voice in American indie rock”.
Ryan Davis is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and performing artist from Louisville, Kentucky. He has been making music since he was fifteen with bands like State Champion Tropical Trash and Equipment Pointed Ankh. Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band consists of Ryan Davis, Elisabeth (violin), Will Laurence (drums, keys), Seth Manchester (percussion, bass), Jim Marlowe (sax, bass), Christopher May (pedal steel) and Aaron Rosenblum (violin, keys). They have toured with artists like MJ Lenderman and Bill Callahan.
The band is recommended to fans of MJ Lenderman, Bill Callahan, Bonnie “Prince” Billy and Silver Jews.
