Hailing from Germany, the band Rikas has already built a loyal fanbase in their relatively short existence with their sunny mix of indie pop, jangle surf, twang, and soul, funk & Latin influences. After a performance at Down the Rabbit Hole 2026, they return to this region, this time for a performance at Doornroosje.
The band members have known each other since childhood and have been making music together as Rikas for ten years. Following their debut album “Showtime” and two EPs, countless performances followed, and their reputation as an irresistible live band grew far beyond Germany.
On stage, they stand as a single unit without a front man or supporting roles. Their second album “Soundtrack for a Movie That Has Not Been Written Yet” (2025) took them abroad for the first time with sold-out shows in London, Paris, and Amsterdam. Since this year, they have consistently sold out all venues. They also released a new album, “Bedroom Tapes”, in early May. What makes Rikas so special live on stage? Their energy, their fun, and the way they turn every performance into a party. Or as they say themselves: everyone who comes to a Rikas show is guaranteed to go home with a smile.
