The Utrecht-based band was formed when band members from Tusky, Bony Macaroni, Two and a Half Girl, and Half Cab joined forces out of a love for lightning-fast hardcore. In their first two years, State Power has proven that their thrashy and catchy hardcore doesn’t beat around the bush. With two well-received EPs and a ton of festival shows, including two legendary performances at Jera On Air, they haven’t wasted a second making their subversive message heard. Now, with “Hyperstition”, they are setting their sights on something bigger (and uglier). The record is packed with scorching hot thrash-infused hardcore bangers. Yes, techno-capitalism is slowly eating us up from the inside, but State Power is getting ready to bite back!
