Feeling over perfection: an ideology adopted by rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist Alfa Mist, which results in a large dose of creativity and productivity. He manages to blur the boundaries between genres and is capable of pushing album production to higher levels.
Alfa Mist currently has a prominent position in the British jazz, RnB and hip-hop scenes. Since his debut album “Nocturne” (2015) came out, Alfa Mist has been focusing on his career. He has collaborated with artists like Jordan Rakei and Tom Misch, created beats for Loyle Carner, composed neo-classical pieces for the London Contemporary Orchestra, and reinterpreted work of Olafur Arnalds.
On 3 October, his new album “Roulette” will come out through his own label Sekito Records. It has a sci-fi concept with guest appearances by Homeboy Sandman, British upcoming soul star Tawiah, and multi-instrumentalist Kaya Thomas Dyke.
