Amenra is more than just a band – it is an experience that hits you deep inside. Hailing from Kortrijk, the Belgian band have been making a unique sound of their own that blends post metal, sludge and hardcore full of emotion, spirituality and power.
With hypnotizing rhythms and alienating sounds, Amenra creates an atmosphere that’s without equals. Their music is drenched in personal stories, universal pain and a search for meaning. The five-piece band manages to make a connection between art, emotion and audience. Their hard-hitting video projections and rituals add another layer to the more than intense live shows. While they have been in Nijmegen a number of times before now, they still manage to surprise us each and every time, and we expect it to be the same this time around. They will come back with a headlining show and new material.
