The journey of Children of Zeus began with a shared love for Manchester pirate radio back in the nineties. The sounds of hip-hop, beats, garage, bass, r&b and soul music were at the core of the collaboration between Tyler Daley and Konny Kon. After the release of their debut album “Travel Light” in 2018, they toured the world for two years.
After their tour, the band decided to give their sound some time to grow. The successor “Balance” is a record with future classics, blending elements from hip-hop, neo-soul, gospel and r&b. Konny’s laidback flow are a perfect match for Tyler’s easily recognizable vocals, with the music itself featuring bass-heavy back-drops and slick keyboard sounds. They took the blueprint of their debut and evolved to a deeper, more refined sound. The album was produced for the most part by the duo themselves, although we also see Grammy winner Beat Butcha among the credits. Butcha previously collaborated with artists like Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Nipsey Hussle and Griselda.
