19-year-old singer-songwriter Chloe Moriondo started at a young age making covers on YouTube of artists like Joji, Girl in Red and Billie Eilish that quickly gained millions of views. She is now ready for her own work and in 2021 her second album “Blood Bunny” came out.
Chloe Moriondo started off as a small child writing songs in her hometown in Michigan. Using a hyperfocus on detail and eccentric humour, the young artist opens up about everything; from hopeless crushes to bloody revenge fantasies and the numerous thoughts running through her mind. In the uncontrolled parts of her obsessions, frustrations and deepest fears, Moriondo has found a style that’s both honest and tender, and love letter to the rest of the weirdos in the world.
Her life-long obsession for music led her to start singing at a very young age. She started playing guitar and ukelele when she was 12. “I’ve always been surrounded by music, so it felt like there was never any question on what else to do with my life.” At the age of 13 she started playing covers on YouTube and SoundCloud, and went viral for the first time with a spontaneous track she recorded of Rex Orange County. While her fanbase grew, Moriondo started sharing her original material, starting with the heart-wrenching ‘Waves’ (a song she recorded while on holiday with her family and her best friend).
