Dirty Sound Magnet
After their terrific show in Merleyn, the Swiss psych rockers of Dirty Sound Magnet are coming back to Nijmegen. This time, they are going to perform in Doornroosje with a new album in tow.
The Dirty Sound Magnet sound is hard to describe. The trio grew up with the seventies rock jams of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. This is far from an oldies revival act, though. The sound of this Swiss band is somewhere in between the instrumental virtuosity of Led Zeppelin, the raw energy of Iggy Pop and the boundary-pushing sound of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
They combine this with lyrics that reflect today’s social unrest. With their unbridled energy and very much their own musical formula, they have won over many audiences. Since the band was founded in 2017, the band has been touring non-stop all over the world, growing into a the most renowned live monsters in the European psych rock scene. They also supported rock heavy-weights like Wolfmother and Monster Magnet. If you like the aforementioned bands, but also enjoy Frank Zappa, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets and Cream?
