Duo Flyte, which consists of musicians and lyricists Will Taylor and Nick Hill, met one another while attending secondary school in London. Both of Will Taylor’s parents were teachers in English, so it is not that surprising that their music contains a lot of literary influences. The duo makes alternative indie with hard-hitting lyrics.
Flyte’s debut album, “The Loved Ones”, came out in 2017 and was produced by Courtney Barnett’s producer Burke Reid. “This Is Really Going to Hurt” is a break-up album and came out in 2021. In 2023 they released “Flyte”, which included guest contributions by Laura Marling and Billie Marten. This record dealt with the power of love and was produced by Ethan Johns.
The band has gained a loyal following in recent years and is recommended to fans of acts like Junodream, Billie Marten, Laura Marling, Madison Cunningham and The Staves.
