Frazey Ford was founding member of the Canadian folk group The Be Good Tanyas (known for being featured in series like “Breaking Bad” and “Weeds”) and made a splash with her first solo album “Obadiah” (2010). Successor “Indian Ocean” (2014) was recorded with Al Green’s band in his studio. Frazey Ford broke through internationally with that album.
The album featured country songs drenched in southern soul and was universally praised with five-star reviews by numerous publications. “Intimate and pure, more often than not with a heart-wrenching depth”, to paraphrase Volkskrant. Her latest album “U Kin B the Sun” is received very well once again.
