Glen Hansard is coming the beautiful Openluchttheater De Goffert with his band. The Academy Award crowned musician, singer and guitarist of the bands The Frames and The Swell Season has built an impressive solo career as well.
During the early nineties, Hansard founded Irish folk band The Frames. The band was massively successful in Europe with platinum albums and stadium shows in his home country of Ireland. After his time with The Frames, Hansard struck out on his own and quickly became very successful. His music is characterized by his introspective lyrics, acoustic arrangements and his capability to create emotional depth in his songs. With hits like ‘Falling Slowly’ and ‘Say It to Me Now’ he’s built an impressive career in music with tons of fans all around the world.
