Glenn Hughes is a name that synonymous with pure rock ‘n roll. As the former bassist and singer of Deep Purple, he (co-)wrote a number of iconic songs and became world famous as The Voice of Rock. His unique mix of soul, funk and rock made him one of the most versatile artists in the music industry.
Hughes’ astonishing resume has many highlights. Next to his work with Deep Purple, he also starred in Trapeze, Black Sabbath and Black Country Communion, the super group with Jason Bonham, Joe Bonamassa and Derek Sherinian. He also collaborated with legends like Gary Moore, The KLF, Tony Iommi, Pat Thrall, John Norum and Joe Satriani. He’s had an impressive solo career on top of this as well. His powerful vocals, engaging bass riffs and unparalleled energy on stage make him a rock legend by right. Live shows are still without equal and his voice is as strong as ever.
