A fantastic double bill tonight with Graveyard and Kadavar! Two hard rocking bands that have proven themselves many times over.
The Swedish band Graveyard takes you back to the seventies with their swampy blues boogie riffs and powerful vocal chops in the best Led Zeppelin tradition. Rock as it’s intended. The album “Hisingen Blues” from 2011 was one of the best rock albums of that year. Successor “Lights Out” was on par with the debut and once again featured numerous swampy psychedelic retro hard rock. The band’s sound came to full maturity on this album. Graveyard also has an impressive live reputation after playing tons of shows in venues and at festivals. New material is on the way.
On top of all that we’ve also invited the three-headed Berlin rock monster Kadavar. They look like runaways from the seventies: long beards (well…), long hair and era-appropriate clothing. Influences from Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Led Zeppelin and Witchfinder are clearly present. Their sixth album came out during the pandemic and had the apt title “The Isolation Tapes”. This is a fantastic project that showcases a wider and spacier sound than before, offering more space for build-ups and depth. They’re still the same old quality staple live on stage though, so expect a heavy rock performance.
