The music of five-peace band Humour combines rock, post-punk and post-hardcore, characterized by surrealist lyrics and dynamic vocals. The Glasgow band is a true lockdown baby: during the Pandemic, the band was founded by Andreas Christodoulidis (vocals), Ross Patrizio (guitar), Jack Lyall (bass) and Ruairidh Smith (drums).
In November 2022, Humour released their debut EP “Pure Misery”, which was praised because of its inventive sound and intense energy. The successor, “A Small Crowd Gathered to Watch Me”, came out in December 2023 and emphasised the status of Humour in the alternative music scene.
The creative process of the band is tightly connected to visual arts. Front man Andreas Christodoulidis makes sketches and artwork that offer context to their music, with the explicit goal of letting every song “look the way it sounds”.
