Four-piece indie pop band Lottery Winners from Lancashire play the most energetic sets imaginable. After having supported Frank Turner, Morrissey and Kaiser Chiefs, the band is coming back to the Netherlands for a head-lining tour of their own.
The Lottery Winners are aptly named, as their fifth album “Anxiety Replacement Therapy” entered the British album charts at number one. Things haven’t always gone their way however, for example when singer Thom Rylance struggled with depression. On “Anxiety Replacement Therapy”, he decided to put all of that negative energy into his writing and turned it into an optimistic, combative, catchy and energetic dose of indie pop.
With their working-class charm, The Lottery Winners always manage to offer memorable and heart-warming concerts. The band is appreciated by many, and have collaborated in the past with Frank Turner and Boy George, both of whom consider themselves fans of the band.
