Moreish Idols is a five-piece band from Cornwall, currently residing in London. Moreish Idols offers a genre-defying form of post-punk that’s characterized by a large dose of energy, edgy guitars, complex rhythmic structures and improvised saxophone sections. This often turns into a wall of sound that’s both refined and a cacophony of noise, the kind early Pavement used to play.
Their debut album “All in the Game” came out through the renowned Speedy Wunderground label that was also responsible for the first releases of bands like Black Midi, Heartworms and O. The album was preceded by singles ‘Pale Blue Dot’ and ‘Slouch’ – the first one of which was the label’s 50th 7″ ever – and this resulted in praise from NME, CLASH, DIY and BBC Radio 6 Music, among others. The main themes of the album include existentialism, memories and illness. “All in the Game” seeks to explore our understanding of our limited time on Earth.
