Motorpsycho
Space rock, metal, country, psychedelia, avant-garde, prog rock? Call it whatever you like, but one thing is clear at all times: these adventurous Norwegian rockers always play as if possessed by the devil. With over thirty years of experience and a discography that can fill out an entire record cabinet, Norwegian power trio Motorpsycho is as prolific as ever.
The psychedelic rock band taps into tons of different influences for their music, including jazz, heavy metal, psychedelic and progressive seventies rock, pop and folk. Every other album, they take another adventurous approach without ever losing their typical Motorpsycho signature. The latest album “Neigh!!” is the sister record of “Yay!” from 2023 and is of the highest quality once more. The record was recorded in their own studio and consists of songs that never made it to other albums; they refer to these tracks as “too cool to kill”. Motorpsycho never lost their intrigue, neither in the studio nor live on stage. Performances have turned into overwhelming and extended happenings. Since 1994, the band has been able to find their way to Nijmegen quite a few times. This is going to be the eleventh time that childhood friends Hans Magnus ‘Snah’ Ryan and Bent Sæther are visiting our town for a show.
