After recent sold-out tours in Australia, the United Kingdom and New Zealand, NO CIGAR is coming back to the European mainland and this time to Nijmegen, too. The five-piece bandfrom Aotearoa, New Zealand has released three studio albums so far: “Under the Surface” (2025), “The Great Escape” (2023) and “Bienvenido” (2022).
NO CIGAR is very popular in Australasia and knows how to captivate audiences with their catchy, groovy and compelling stories. “Under the Surface” was written for the most part in Chantilly, a small town about an hour to the north of Paris, where the band practiced, wrote and recorded during their European tour in 2023. The album was completed during a tour back in New Zealand with producer Conor Jaine. The new album demonstrates their unique mix of psychedelic rock and groovy guitar riffs. Their growing popularity is partly thanks to their dynamic live performances that have helped them build up an enthusiastic fanbase.
