Obituary

The American band is known for their uncompromising sound, trademark sludgy riffs and the unique, raw vocals of front man John Tardy. With their debut album “Slowly We Rot” and the ground-breaking “Cause of Death”, the band set the standard for a whole generation of metal bands. Obituary’s approach is less technical than that of some of their peers, but it is the simplicity, the slow nature of and the brute force of their music that enhance the impact.
