Flanders band Oproer makes a mix of dynamic pop and rock. They are as engaging as they are impetuous.
Their music has darkness you can dance to, with a nostalgic edge to it that’s heavily eighties inspired. Since the band was founded in 2023 and their debut album came out, Oproer has been on an unstoppable trajectory. With their second album, they take things even further and catchier.
Front man Dries sings about life in all its unexpected twists and turns, packaged in a grandiose, yet at the same time intimate sound. In March 2025, their new single ‘Cold Feet’ came out. A new album is expected in the fall of 2025, which will be presented in Merleyn tonight.
