Pachyman, the alter ego of Puerto-Rican Pachy García, is a multi-instrumentalist and one-man band. He released “The Return of Pachyman” in 2021, which was a catchy album full of gorgeous dub and reggae cuts that immediately transport you to Jamaica during the seventies.
Pachy grew up with dub and reggae music of King Tubby and The Scientist. After finishing his music studies in Los Angeles, he decided to stick around and started his own dub club nights. Next to being passionate about dub and reggae, Pachy is also a big fan of music in general, as well as a singer and musician with LA-based noise rock band Prettiest Eyes. In America, Pachyman has joined bands like Khruangbin and Black Pumas as a support act, surprising audiences with this summery sounds. In 2023 his new album “Switched On” will come out on which he will expand his sound a bit. Next to the tried-and-true dub formula, he will start adding South-American rhythms and influences. On some of the songs he will sing in Puerto-Rican.
