One of the most successful British singer-songwriters of all time is coming to Nijmegen. Paul Carrack is often referred to as “The Man With the Golden Voice”, and up to this day is still one of the best blue-eyed soul singers in the world. He had a very successful solo career, featuring evergreens like ‘I Need You’ and ‘Dedicated’. He also scored hits worldwide with super group Mike + The Mechanics.
Paul Carrack first came to the fore internationally in the mid seventies as a songwriter and band member of pub rock formation Ace. After this, he was a session musician for The Pretenders, The Smiths and Roxy Music. Since the early eighties he has been working on his solo career. He also collaborated in the past with acts like The Eagles, Elton John, BB King, Roxy Music and Eric Clapton.
Carrack is best known as one of the lead singers of super group Mike + The Mechanics. Together with Mike Rutherford (Genesis), he scored worldwide hits like ‘All I Need Is a Miracle’, ‘Over My Shoulder’ and ‘The Living Years’.
The concert is a collaboration with Stadsschouwburg Nijmegen. There is fixed seating.
