Singer and queer/feminist icon Peaches is known for her explosive creativity. It has been a while since her latest album “Rub” came out in 2015, but fortunately, a new one is on the way. In 2026, “No Lube So Rude” will be released, an album she is going to take to Doornroosje!
For over twenty years, the versatile Canadian artist Peaches has been breaking through artistic pigeonholes and social barriers. Next to her work as an electro clash singer and producer, she has dabbled in almost any other form of art. She directed many of her own video clips, played in a one-woman performance of “Jesus Christ Superstar”, collaborated with Yoko Ono on a new version of her iconic performance “Cut Piece” and curated books and gallery exhibitions.
In all of her work, Peaches is breaking down stereotypes, taboos and gender norms and is standing up for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community. Since the release of debut album “The Teaches of Peaches”, she has been the figure head of sexual freedom, making her more relevant now than ever.
