Tara Nome Doyle grew up in two different worlds: the crowded nature of Berlin on the one hand and the wide natural landscapes of Ireland and Norway, where her parents come from, on the other. You can hear this in her music as well that moves from slow, intimate and bare-bone melodies to ecstatic crescendos. Her lyrics often include themes like connection, identity and self-discovery as well.

Her first single ‘Down With You’ came out in 2018 and has been streamed over 6 million times since then. In 2020, TND released her conceptual debut album “Alchemy”, co-produced by TND and David Specht (Isolation Berlin). The album was met with high praise.

Her second album “Værmin” from 2022 was produced by Grammy winning musician and technician Simon Goff and received international praise. Tara Nome Doyle’s latest, self-produced EP “Agape” (2024) marks her return to the music scene after a two-year sabbatical. “Agape” is a deeply intimate collection of songs that document TND’s emotional journey through sadness and the memories of a beloved’s passing.

Songs like ‘Lighthouse’, ‘Bad Days’ and ‘Dive In’ have refrains tailor-made for larger stages, moving from powerful melodies with pop-infused harmonies to intimate refrains. As she sings in Dive In: “Soon as you think you’ve made it / life comes with all its changes / unsullied dreams have faded / left yearning for some way to make amends / before lights end.”

She is currently working on finishing her third album, planned for release in 2025. She will go on tour to promote this new record and perform in Merleyn as a part of this.
