The American indie rock band The Antlers is back! Ten years ago, they were associated with heavy themes, now they’re back with a sense of calm and positivity. Their latest album “Green to Gold” tells the story of conversations that front man Peter Silberman had with friends and his partner. Because of the modest, ragged and almost folky sound the emotional change of the band is almost tangible.
In 2009 the band was included in numerous year lists with their success album “Hospice”. The album dealt with the tragic story of a man that sees his wife slowly die of cancer. This record was a breakthrough for The Antlers. After the album “Familiars” came out in 2014 the band went on hiatus. Peter Silberman suffered from hearing loss and it wasn’t clear yet if he could continue his music career. Now they’re back with a record that’s clearly created by someone who has found balance in his life again.
